DAZEDISH: Sunset Beach Shelter Island

On Saturday I visited Andre Balazs' Sunset Beach on Shelter Island with a group of friends for a relaxing afternoon lunch. During the afternoon we dined on the restaurant's French fare. A favorite appetizer was the artichokes frites, long stemmed crispy fried artichokes with aioli. The moules marinieres with white wine, confit garlic and frites obligatoires was a perfect pairing to go with the beach front setting. The Sunset Beach cheeseburger was a favorite of many, it came with gruyere, frites and cornichons. The paillard de poulet with green salad was cooked perfectly and delicious.
