Sienna Restaurant & Ultralounge has reopened this summer in East Hampton with celebrity chef, Donatella Arpaia who has created a stylish modern Italian menu for the Hamptons. Formerly of restaurants such as Kefi, Anthos and davidburke & donatella, Arpaia also serves as the head judge on "Iron Chef America." Last Friday I visited the restaurant with a friend. We started with a few of the specialty cocktails, one being the no-sugar-added Sienna Margarita, made with top shelf tequila, Grand Marnier, and a blend of fruit juices. It was a great way to start a fun filled dinner out at Sienna. The mixology program was created by Paul Michael. I would also recommend the sparkling melon lemonade made with Grey Goose el melon vodka, lemon, cane sugar, orange and club soda. We started with Donatella's famous veal meatballs, which was a definite highlight of our meal. For entrees we enjoyed the pan roasted chicken prepared with poached peach and stuffed with black garlic and corn, and the branzino with fregola. Both dishes exceeded our already high expectations. For dessert we decided to split the "Glam Pop Flight," an assortment of sparkling gourmet cheesecake and cake pops. It was so delicious and a perfect dessert for any table to share. When the clock strikes 11:30 PM, Sienna morphs into a hotspot with Saturday night cabaret shows and world class DJs spinning all night long. On Monday nights the venue hosts #BadBehaviorMondays with music by DJ Chile, $20 dinner specials and half priced cocktails from 6:30 to 11:30 PM. Sienna is open Monday, Friday and Saturday and starting on July 2 it will be open for dinner Monday and Wednesday through Saturday.
