Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan will host Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's 17th annual Super Saturday, sponsored by QVC. Super Saturday was created in 1998 by Karan and the late Liz Tilberis, beloved Editor-In-Chief of Harper's Bazaar and President of OCRF. Karan sponsored and hosted the event since its founding, and Ripa has been a host since 2004. Beginning in 2007, sponsor QVC broadcasted live at the event. Super Saturday 17 will take place on Saturday, July 26, at Nova's Ark Project in Water Mill from 1 PM to 6 PM with a special preview hour beginning at noon. Super Saturday 17 is OCRF's fun-filled, family-oriented daylong fundraiser, complete with a one-of-a-kind designer garage sale, kids carnival and activities, a luxury raffle, and gourmet treats. The most anticipated element of Super Saturday is the designer garage sale, which includes merchandise from nearly 200 prominent participants including Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, INTERMIX, Vince, IRO, Alexis Bittar, Bonpoint, Haute Hippie, Nanette Lepore, Milly, Theory, Elie Tahari, Diane von Furstenberg, alice + olivia, Scoop NYC, Vilebrequin, J Brand, and Helmut Lang. "Being involved with this event for almost 10 years now, and watching it grow, has been an incredible experience," said Ripa. "It is truly a feel-good event because it allows women to splurge and spoil themselves while simultaneously supporting such an important cause." Often undetected in the early stages due to lack of specific testing, ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death from gynecologic cancers in the United States and is the fifth leading cause of cancer death among American women. In 2013 alone, Super Saturday raised over $3.7 million for Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. This year Decades founder Cameron Silver will curate "Cameron's Corner," a mix of vintage and modern pre-loved clothing and accessories. For the seventh consecutive year, the "Designers A to Zoe" booth by Rachel Zoe will feature a compilation of pieces from her favorite luxury designers including Etro, Oscar de la Renta, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, and Stella McCartney. OCRF and QVC are uniting once again for "QVC Presents Super Saturday LIVE," a live, on-site broadcast from 2 to 4 PM, offering viewers nationwide the chance to purchase premier fashion, beauty, jewelry, accessories and home items for half the suggested retail price, with net proceeds benefitting OCRF. To date, QVC Presents Super Saturday LIVE has delivered more than $7.4 million to OCRF. "Super Saturday is a powerful demonstration of the ongoing relationship between OCRF and QVC," said Claire Watts, CEO of QVC U.S. "Each year, we unite with OCRF to help them gain greater support for their important research and expand access to their innovative patient support program, Woman to Woman. Working on this initiative with OCRF aligns with our charitable mission to support the success and wellness of women through the power of relationships." In addition to incredible shopping, OCRF's Super Saturday 17 will offer attendees an afternoon of activities and indulgences. Guests will love Priv's Braid Bar for a fresh summer hairstyle and enjoy psychic readings with Betsy Wahmann. Attendees can stop by the Rolls Royce photo booth and help further support OCRF. For each shared photo, Rolls Royce will make a donation to OCRF. There will be an on-site luxury raffle with prizes from designers including Vhernier, Lorraine Schwartz, Charlotte Olympia, Dolce & Gabbana, and Pologeorgis Furs, and experiences donated by The New York Football Giants, Trump National Golf Club and Flywheel Sports, among others. Additionally, OCRF's Super Saturday Online Auction begins today with amazing one-of-a-kind VIP experiences, celebrity meet and greets, and so much more. Visit www.charitiybuzz.com/supersaturday. For children at Super Saturday 17, there will be rides, games, and arts and crafts galore. New this year, Stitched Fashion Camp will give kids the chance to tap into their inner designer. Parsons Professor/Fashion Designer Rob Younkers and Yahoo Fashion Editor-in-Chief and Executive Creative Officer Joe Zee will work with children sketching, designing, and styling one-of-a-kind t-shirts, embellished with custom-made designs from Swarovski. Also this summer, over at Camp Divalysscious kids can enjoy arts and crafts all day with the Craft Studio, a dance party with "Jam with Jamie and Friends!" special performances from Wendy The Pipe Cleaner Lady and Didi Maxx, Bella face painting, Glitter Tattoo NYC, Caricatures by Jen, Balloon Artistry, and s'mores making. Kids of all ages can also visit Space Odyssey East to play the hottest video games available on the planet in the arcade mecca. Ticket prices for OCRF's Super Saturday 17 are $450 (regular), $650 (preview) or $850 (VIP preview) for adults and $150 for kids ages 5 to 16 (kids under 5 are admitted free.) The preview ticket includes access to an exclusive shopping hour from noon to 1 PM and a goodie bag, and the VIP preview ticket includes both of these benefits and VIP tent access. Tables and sponsor packages are also available beginning at $2500. To purchase tickets or for more information, please call London Misher Public Relations at 212-759-2800 or visit Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's website www.ocrf.org/supersaturday.
