Close-Up, an iconic collection of 1960's film images, will make its American debut at the historic barn at Mulford Farm Museum in East Hampton. Photographer Susan Wood captured an era in film history, including unforgettable personalities like Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, Monica Vitti, Marcello Mastroianni, Billie Whitelaw, John Wayne and Billy Wilder. Her works will aptly be on display in conjunction with the Hamptons International Film Festival. Susan Wood's editorial, advertising, and fashion photography has appeared in Look, Vogue, People, and The New York Times and she is known for her portraits of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Susan Sontag, Diane Von Furstenburg, and John Updike. Speaking about the exhibition, Wood said, "I am thrilled that these photographs, lovingly curated by Deirdre Brennan, will be seen together for the first time in the United States and I'm honored to be one of the first artists to exhibit in the Mulford Farm Museum." Opening "Matinée" Reception takes place on Sunday from noon to 3 PM. The show runs through October 26. In addition, the exhibit will be open Thursday, October 9 and Friday, October 10 from noon to 5 PM during the Hamptons International Film Festival.
