Photos By Owen Hoffmann of Patrick McMullan, Barry Gordin Guild Hall’s 30th Annual Academy of the Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards & Dinner took place on March 9, celebrating an evening of artistic achievement at Sotheby’s NYC. The honorees were Jules Feiffer for Literary-Media Arts presented by Robert Caro, Matthew Broderick for Performing Arts, and Ralph Gibson for Visual Arts presented by Laurie Anderson. Linda and Harry Macklowe received the Special Award for Leadership and Philanthropic Endeavors presented by Michael Lynne. Guild Hall welcomed Eric Fischl as the new president of the Academy of the Arts. The Academy honors both summer and year-round East End residents who have demonstrated excellence in the visual, literary, and performing arts. Funds raised from the Award’s gala dinner benefit Guild Hall’s mission of celebrating the artistic spirit on the East End by educating, inspiring, and enriching diverse audiences with excellent and engaging year-round programming.
