Selfies and Portraits of the East End, an exhibition dedicated to the memory of Tom Twomey, is opening at Guild Hall in East Hampton. The show features East End artists, Linda Alpern, Ross Bleckner, Jack Ceglic, Fischer Cherry, Ann Chwatsky, Chuck Close, Anh Duong, Katie Fischer, Eric Fischl, Cornelia Foss, John Hardy, Soren Hope, William King, Jill Krementz, Laurie Lambrecht, Christa Maiwald, Jonathan Morse, Elizabeth Peyton, Bastienne Schmidt, Lola Montes Schnabel, Julian Schnabel, Joan Semmel, Cindy Sherman, Billy Sullivan, Susan Tepper, Robert Wilson, Darius Yektai and others, including selections from the permanent collection.
The show opens on Saturday. A panel discussion with artists from Selfies and Portraits of the East End including Ceglic, Duong, Schmidt, and Yektai will take place at 3 PM followed by an opening reception from 4 to 6 PM, also including the opening of Hal Buckner, and Nicole Bigar: Muses Past and Present.
