Navy Beach in Montauk will host its annual American Summer Riviera themed beach and boat weekend on Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, from noon until sunset. Come by sea and anchor your boat in the protected waters of Fort Pond Bay (41° 02' 45.11" N, 71° 57' 44.8"W) or come by land and enjoy two afternoons of chill DJ sets on the beach, live music and more. Starting at 6 PM on Saturday guests will enjoy a live eclectic sunset set from Ibiza's DJ Jon Sa Trinxa, founder and house DJ of the famed Sa Trinxa beach bar and restaurant on Ibiza's Las Salinas Beach. Sa Trinxa, who began DJ-ing in Europe in the '80s, finds inspiration in a wide range of musicians including Bob Marley, David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, and the Sex Pistols, as well as the growing electronic music movement. Reggae favorite Twister will play a special "Soul Train Saturday" themed performance on Saturday night starting at 9 PM, and a reggae sunset set starting at 5 PM on Sunday. The restaurant's new TORPEDO launch service will be operating all weekend for boaters (weather permitting), and requests for pickup by boaters anchored near the restaurant can be made by phone. Local photographer James Katsipis will be on site both afternoons capturing the scene and festivities. The restaurant will also feature a special Chandon American Summer pairing menu all weekend. Reservations for tables can be made up to two weeks in advance through Open Table, online at www.navybeach.com or by calling 631-668-6868. Select waterfront daybeds on the beach will be available for reservation during the weekend for a $500 minimum for the time slots of noon to 4 PM or 4 to 8 PM. Daybed reservations can only be made by phone and require a credit card guarantee.
