Strides for Life, to benefit the Lung Cancer Research Foundation's 10th Annual Three-Mile Run/Walk, will be held on Sunday, August 9, in Southampton. Strides for Life, which takes place around scenic Lake Agawam, was the first ever of its kind to support lung cancer research and is the signature event of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation. Southampton Mayor Mark Epley will be the honorary chairman for the event. The event is dedicated to raising awareness about the devastating effects of lung cancer, the leading cause of cancer death in both men and women worldwide, and to ensuring that lung cancer research receives the funding it needs.
