New Lower East Side transplant Black Tree has brough their edginess to Southampton with the launch of new restaurant North Sea Tavern & Raw'r Bar, an innovative and sustainable seafood joint that opened its doors on August 7. The team behind the new concept includes co-owner and Executive Chef Sandy Dee Hall, along with co-owners Jon Pirozzi (who also co-owns Stone Creek Bar in Manhattan) and Cletus McKeown (who manages the event space The Wooly in FiDi). The restaurant plans to embrace local farmers and fisherman and offers a sustainable seafood menu that will be modified daily based on market availability, keeping items fresh and new each week. Launching the expansive space with 80 seats and plenty of room indoors with a front and back patio, the new restaurant is a great location to enjoy the beautiful weather during the summer. The restaurant is offering a hot new $1 oyster happy hour beginning at 4 PM, and a picnic basket delivery service to bring delicious food to your doorstop or beach blanket. The seasonal menu will focus on light seafood and a raw bar in the summer and will evolve to become more rustic and heartier in the fall for year-round patrons.
