Tiny Atlas Quarterly, a collection of talented creatives specializing in telling stories through images, art and fascinating places, has teamed up with The Montauk Beach House to celebrate the launch of their newest digital issue. Through the shared goal of connecting people through beautiful work, they’re taking their love of travel to Montauk via a juried selection of over 8,500 Instagram images submitted by lovers of the East End (#mytinyatlasmontauk). “The Montauk Beach House is a creatively unique Montauk destination," said Walt Lindveld, Creative Director at The Montauk Beach House. “Collaborating with TAQ enriches that uniqueness by both showcasing and supporting two of our communities' greatest passions-- travel and visual artistry.” On a poolside backdrop, guests will enjoy tunes by DJ Nicole Leone with specialty cocktails while previewing TAQ’s newest Fire Issue, which rounds out their year of element-themed content, and winning images from the #mytinyatlasmontauk contest. “Tiny Atlas Quarterly is about storytelling through images near and far and, after the success of our first show in San Francisco, we knew that we wanted to take the idea on the road. ” said Emily Nathan, Founder of Tiny Atlas Quarterly. “The Montauk Beach House is the perfect location to acknowledge our amazing east coast audience. We’re both passionate about inspiring our communities, whether it be through design, powerful imagery or showcases like #mytinyatlasmontauk. I want to thank everyone who submitted such stunning work--we hope to continue to inspire you all as well.” The display will feature a collective of images from noted photographers including We Are the Rhoads, Gabriela Herman, Marianna Jamadi, Emily Nathan, James Baigrie, Daeja Fallas, Jaime Beechum, Emily Shur and illustrators Wayne Pate and Sharon Hwang, among others. The evening will feature photos that have been thoughtfully selected by judges Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear, Jen Bekman of 20x200, and Piera Gelardi and Brenda Milis of Refinery29 in conjunction with Tiny Atlas editors and printed by Social Print Studio. The event is free to attend and will take place from 5 to 7 PM on Saturday, September 12, at The Montauk Beach House. For more information visit http://thembh.com/event-directory.
