The Joshua Levine Memorial Foundation and Slow Food East End presents "A Moveable Feast," an evening of food, drink, and community to celebrate the legacy of Josh Levine and support Edible School Gardens on the East End. The event will take place on April 17 from 4 to 7 PM at Dodds & Eder Landscape Design Showroom in Sag Harbor. Josh Levine believed that children should have the opportunity to experience first-hand what real food is, where it comes from, and how to grow it. He lived his truth by farming the land and raising his family on the East End, a community that values the natural connection between food and farming. In the past six years, under the auspices of The Joshua Levine Memorial Foundation and Slow Food East End, Levine's passion for educating children about sustainable farming, healthy eating and lifestyle continues to take root and flourish. All funds raised from this event support The Edible School Gardens Program, which includes stipends for three Master Farmers, as well as mini-grants to benefit school gardens and purchase supplies. The East End of Long Island has one of the largest, most successful school garden programs in the United States. Tickets are $100 per person for members of Slow Food and $150 per person for non-members. Members will receive a one-time savings of $25 when two or more tickets are purchased. To purchase tickets or make a donation, visit www.joshualevinefoundation.org.
