The Lobster Roll Opening Weekend

True to its tagline "This is where summer begins!," The Lobster Roll restaurant in Amagansett is getting an early start to the summer season with its opening weekend, beginning Friday. For more than five decades, the location affectionately known as "Lunch" (although it serves lunch and dinner), because of its now "iconic" sign, has been attracting locals, celebrities, day trippers and travelers from across the globe. The Lobster Roll is the quintessential summer eatery, embracing the atmosphere of a nostalgic retro roadside shack, amid the sand dunes, gardens of summer flowers, umbrellas, beach balls, picnic tables and groups of smiling faces. Though The Lobster Roll has been acclaimed for its namesake lobster roll selection, gluten free options, children's menu, homemade desserts and full summer bar, the local hotspot has gained international notoriety due to its prominence in the hit Showtime show "The Affair." Brand new for this year is the Lobster Roll Food Truck, which is available for hire for off-premise catering and event planning and will feature the restaurant's full catering menu. As always, casual on premise catering and event planning is also available. The Lobster Roll will be open 11:30 AM to 9 PM pre-season weekends (Friday and Saturday), and until 8 PM on Sundays, beginning this week. The restaurant will be open full-time, 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM, seven days a week, beginning Memorial Day Weekend.
