Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor presents a group art show featuring the works of Christopher Engel, Alan Nevins, Liz Gribin, and Lutha Leahy-Miller. The exhibition runs tomorrow through June 16, with a reception on Saturday from 4 to 5:30 PM. Engel's faces, figures and abstracts invite the viewer to enter their subconscious and allow his images to reveal themselves to their conscious mind. A master photographer, Nevins has increasingly over the years imposed or coaxed his personal vision out of nature. Gribin is a painter of distinct style. Her figures, seen in a space that moves from shallow to deep across the picture plan are emotionally loaded. Leahy-Miller is the natural inheritant of both NY and CA surfing and surf art. Leahy-Miller expresses the speed and flow of surfing via hand drawn 2D images laden with intense color that include stylized speed or motion lines to illustrate the path and velocity a surfer takes across a wave.
