Strecker Band performs at the Stephen Talkhouse on July 12.
Stephen Strecker – (Ace-Roc) lead vocals: A man of many interests and talents, Steve is the Chief Amusement park ride operator at Adventureland theme park in Farmingdale, NY. He is also often trying out his original musical compositions as the proud conductor/director of the FCSWGC (Freedom Christian Senior Women’s Gospel Choir). Interests: NASCAR, tractor pulling, superhero comic book conventions, Avenging Disco Godfather.
Jennifer Mirabelli – (Cupcake) lead vocals: A girly girl to the core, Jennifer runs a small cupcake business out of her home. Catering children’s parties are her specialty, and as she always says, “sweets make everyone happy!” We are also very proud to say that Jenn was the winner at the 2001 Jones Beach Amateur metal detecting contest having found .8 oz of scrap metal (which has since been recycled). Interests: hot yoga, cake decorating contests, yarn shopping, jewelry parties, competitive metal detecting.
Greg Polanish – (G-Nice) guitar/vocals: CEO of 2MuchBass Productions. His highly anticipated debut album has no set release date, but since its conception in 1997, G-Nice has stated that his tracks “… are so money that when I drop these (tracks) they gonna change the rap game foreva!” Interests: exotic bird watching, go karting, pumpkin chunking.
Doug (bass in your face) Odell (bass/vocals): With his degree in Animal Psychology, and a master’s degree in music therapy, Doug devoted most of his career to rehabilitating mentally ill cats and dogs through music therapy. Regretfully however, he confesses that he had to leave the field because he was “…becoming too emotionally attached to the animals”. Interests: shuffleboard, Greenpeace.
Jim (Ice) Mansfield (drums): No stranger to danger, Jim is a retired Ice Road trucker. For six years he went on seasonal routes crossing frozen lakes and rivers in remote Arctic territories in Alaska. Happy to be on solid ground, these days Jim can be spotted driving his 1-800 flowers route. Interests: polar bear club member, gardening, ice fishing, rabbit hunting.
