Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will be the featured performer at the Montauk Playhouse Foundation annual Gala on Saturday from 7 to 11 PM. The internationally acclaimed New Orleans-based funk band is known for high-energy entertainment that employs hip-hop beats, rock dynamics, and improvisation in a jazz tradition. The outdoor tented event will be held on the grounds of the Montauk Playhouse Community Center. The Gala will feature dinner, dancing, drinks, and live and silent auctions. This year's honorees are Montauk residents George F. Biondo and Perry B. Duryea III, who will be honored for their philanthropic commitment to the community and the Playhouse. "The Gala" is presented in support of the Foundation's fundraising efforts to construct an Aquatic and Cultural Center in the historic Montauk Playhouse. Individual Gala tickets begin at $300 per person. Lounge and table seating are also available. Tickets may be purchased online at www.montaukplayhouse.org, by phone at 631-668-1124, and at the Playhouse office.
