The air is crisp and the leaves are colorful. It's autumn in The Hamptons. Sag Harbor's Baron's Cove is open year-round and has a festive, and delicious, fall lined up. Baron's Cove features a brand new nautically inspired hotel lobby, bar and lounge with cozy wood burning fireplaces, a breezy front porch, stunning side veranda and classic all-American restaurant with sweeping water views of the harbor. The end of summer doesn't mean the end of BBQs. This weekend is the Fall Fest Finale at Baron's Cove on Saturday from 1 to 5 PM. Cozy up and have a seat on the Baron's Cove lawn and join pit-masters for a delicious fall feast. Pit-masters include Executive Chef Matty Boudreau, NYC's Pig Beach owner Rob Shawger (both members of the award-winning Salty Rinse BBQ team) and special guest John David Wheeler of the Memphis Barbecue Company. Enjoy the trio's smoked-to-perfection brisket, championship ribs, popular beer can chicken with Montauk beer, and hot smoked and dry rubbed local striped bass. There will also be sides, burgers, and hot dogs for the kids. Bring friends and family and take in the harbor views from the outdoor terrace as you enjoy a refreshing glass of Macari Vineyards wine, local seasonal beers from Montauk Brewery, or one of the specialty Diplomatico Reserva rum cocktails. There's live music from 2 to 5 PM. Baron's Cove Oktoberfest will be held on October 22 from 1 to 5 PM, because fall wouldn't be complete without an Oktoberfest feast. Stop by for Chef Boudreau's brats, sausages, grilled corn, German-style pretzels, apple cider, seasonal brews, and more. As the autumn days grow shorter and the evenings cooler, enjoy the outdoor terrace featuring a wood burning fireplace and ceiling heat lamps. You can pair beer, wine, or one of the signature cocktails with a warm meal from the Harbor Menu. Fall is one of the most delicious seasons in The Hamptons. The new fall menu features items such as local scallops with Mail Pail Farm's spaghetti squash, roasted North Fork fennel and radishes, brown butter vinaigrette, parsnip soup, and cauliflower beignets with spicy carrot dipping sauce. Don't forget to try one of Baron's Cove fall cocktails like the Dark Ship, which includes Kentucky bourbon, black tea syrup, dolon antica vermouth, angostura bitters, and house-made cherries.
