Saladino Design Studios, in conjunction with Miami-based development company, Barlington Group have begun renovations to restore the Tower Hotel, one of Miami’s most treasured hotel destinations of yesteryear in the historic Little Havana neighborhood. With project renovations underway, Saladino Design Studios has been awarded the coveted designation to implement the concept and design for the renovation project, bringing the rich history back to Little Havana. The Tower Hotel is a charming boutique hotel serving as a coveted landmark, first opening in 1920 and earning its reputation as a popular stomping ground for some of the Jazz movements most influential artists, including Billie Holiday and Count Basie to name a few. The project is slated for completion in the summer of 2017.
With design elements reminiscent of old school Havana, Cuba, SDS will deliver a design that brings together both experience and destination, creating an ambiance that reflects the rich Cuban history and artistic legacy of Little Havana. SDS will curate each room to have its own unique design, paying homage to the rich and colorful history of the Tower Hotel. Keeping in touch with its classic old world charm, all common areas will be restored to their original state but include modern amenities such as a pool, restaurants and more.
